The hotel

The hotel lies in the village of Strobl in the heart of the Salzkammergut. Sit­u­at­ed in large gardens and only a short walk to the village center and lake it is the ideal location for your holiday. Whether you want relaxation or ac­tiv­i­ty, we can provide it.

Rooms

There are 37 double rooms in our house (7 of them with twin beds), 2 Junior suites and 2 suites. All our rooms are spacious with balcony or terrace, TV, tele­phone, mini-bar, safe and a seating area which can convert into a single bed.

Tennis hall with 3 courts, 2 outdoor courts for a play in nice weather.

2 squash courts are available for guests.

Fitness

A modern fitness room for those who would like to steel their muscles.

Cycling

20 routes of different levels of difficulty offer 720 kms for everyone from fun cy­clists to mountain bikers. The hotel can arrange bike hire.

There are several good golf courses in the area.

Water sports

Waterskiing, sailing, wind surfing and diving are all available for beginners to advanced levels.

Wandering

This region has some of the most beautiful walks from easy round the lake or mountain tracks.

Riding

Riding schools and tracking are available.

Climbing

There is a new climbing park.

Winter sports

The ski buses to the Postalm Ski Arena or to Dachstein West stop right op­po­site our hotel. Whether it is skiing, snowboarding, cross country or snow shoe walking we can arrange it.

Sledging

When the snow is right there are areas for sledging. For all these activities please contact us for more details.

Freetime activites

From visits to Mozart's Salzburg or the imperial city and spa town Bad Ischl, the summer residence of Emperor Franz-Josef and his wife Sissi, or a lazy day on a cruise on the Wolfgangsee, all is possible. Travel up the Schaffberg moun­tain railway from St.Wolfgang or in a gondolar from St.Gilgen up the Zwolferhorn to get amazing views of the lake and surrounding scenery. Vis­its to salt mines or ice caves are other suggestions. We will be happy to help you to put together a programme for you.
